Who We Are

Alzheimer’s Weekly blends the
expertise of a strong team with
personal and professional
Alzheimer's experience.

Peter Berger
Editor

Encountering Alzheimer’s on a family-and-friends level and working on a new Alzheimer’s technology, Peter felt compelled to work towards helping preserve the dignity of people effected by Alzheimer's. In 2006, Peter designed a site plan, made a full-time commitment and started Alzheimer's Weekly.

Today, the internet is exploding with over a thousand new Alzheimer's articles each week. Staying on top of what is most relevant and important, the site sets out to provide the best web digest possible. Peter and his associates write or edit the week's best articles on the topics that are the most useful, engaging and helpful.

Gradually, additional staff are coming on board in. Today, Ann and Dina share their years of experience by taking questions on their own boards, along with providing professional support in free moderated support groups. Dr. Ancselovits reviews and contributes to a selection of hundreds of articles. Rena helps put together an inspiring "Thought of the Week," and Avi sifts through hundreds of sites to build a lean menu of the most useful links to other important Alzheimer's sites. The weekly newsletter sent by email has a Weekly Research Bulletin to keep readers up-to-date on the latest advances, and new services are in the works.

Peter is a graduate of Queens College, Magna Cum Laude. He spent 16 years creating innovative technologies at AT&T, U.S. Telecom and Energy Saving Technologies. He subsequently spent almost a decade helping break new ground in education at a not-for-profit organization, writing and editing extensively. This site meaningfully combines his writing, technology and life experience to provide a place of support and insight.
